Job Description: Website Designer
Title: Website Designer
Reports to: Partners, Stephenville.
Based at: We Love Texas Web Solutions (WLT), Stephenville, TX.
Job purpose:
The primary purpose of this position will be to update
and modify current client websites. Secondary purposes include
design, layout, develop, code, and publish websites according
to
client specifications
and development of websites for
internal business use.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Engaging in client service projects from the creation
of conceptual compositions through the launch of custom
web sites.
- Preparing
time estimates and timelines for internal and external
clients.
- Converting
pre-designed premium design compositions to functional
HTML and graphics in accordance with client feedback.
- Creating high
quality graphics and HTML to exceed client design expectations.
- Completing
a high quantity of custom and premium design projects based
on client demand.
- Ability to implement designs in compliance
with WLT’s
product framework.
- Monitoring and completing jobs within
internal systems to manage daily task volume derived
from client web
site orders.
- Managing time, project priorities and
communications between internal and external clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Education
a. High School Diploma or GED
b. Preferred:
Degree or college study in Computer Science, Information
Technology, Engineering or equivalent trade
school certification.
Advanced degrees are highly desired, but not required.
2. Experience
a. Significant experience in website or graphic design
b. Preferred: Previous employment as a website designer
3. Skills
a. Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks,
or other similar design software
b. Expert knowledge of HTML
c. Intermediate knowledge of Flash
d. Advanced knowledge of the Cascading Style
Sheets
e. Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript
f. Intermediate knowledge of Internet protocols
and technologies, including: FTP, e-mail, TELNET,
SSH,
DNS
g. Proficiency with Windows
h. Ability to create high quality design and
high productivity
i. Solid project management and multi-tasking capabilities
under tight time constraints
j. Exceptional written and verbal communication
skills
k. Strong presentation skills
l. Preferred: Expert Knowledge of ColdFusion MX
Compensation: Hourly.
Benefits: This position may be considered a full time position,
depending on hours worked per week, and may be eligible to
